I spent close to 30 hours baking and decorating Christmas cookies. Oh the joy of the holiday season! Here are my cookie platters in all their sparkly Christmas glory.

These cookies are a hit year round. They taste like brownies and become festive around the holidays because of the powdered sugar/chocolate contrast.

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

These oatmeal cookies are a year round crowd pleaser. In the past 2 months I have made them 3 times. I suppose the oatmeal makes the cookies healthier, but not sure if “cookies”and “healthy” belong in the same sentence. Either way they are delicious.

Chocolate Covered Pretzels

These pretzel rods are easy to make and fun for all ages. They add a festive look as a part of a platter, but can also be wrapped in cellophane, tied with a ribbon and given as gift on their own.

A Vacation Detour

Turks and Caicos

Steve and I took a much needed trip down to Turks and Caicos (a.k.a. Paradise found). It was seriously amazing and now that I am back in the 18 degree NY weather, my pictures are the only thing getting me through the deep freeze.
